Andhra Pradesh is the sacred setting for the story of Narasimhadev. Known as the "Land of the Lion," it is a place where ancient temples and natural wonders keep the history of the Lord alive. This journey is an invitation to explore the sites where the Divine manifested to protect His devotees, traveling from the coastal mountains into the deep forest. We will traverse the sacred geography of the nine forms of Narasimha, walking the paths where the story of devotion and protection first unfolded. From the coastal shrines where the Lord is veiled in cooling sandalwood, to the wild heart of the forest where He emerged from the stone pillar, we will visit the sites where ancient traditions and miracles are still a living reality.
Guided by Swami Tulsidas and Swamini Abhirami, we will explore mountain temples, meditate in quiet caves, and travel with the self-manifested deities: Paranitya Narasimhadev and Simhachalam Narasimhadev. This journey is an opportunity to connect with the protective energy of Narasimha and experience the deep spiritual presence that still resonates in these holy lands.
ABOUT THE DEITIES
TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Ahobilam is situated deep within the Nallamala Forest, and is revered as the sacred site where Lord Narasimha manifested from a stone pillar to protect His devotee, Prahlada.
We will journey through this powerful landscape to visit the shrines of the nine forms of Narasimha, each worshipped in its natural setting, allowing us to connect with the raw, untamed presence of the Lord in the very place of His appearance.
Our journey ends at one of the most famous and visited pilgrimage sites in the world - Lord Venkateshwara of Tirupati. Located on top of seven hills, this temple complex has a very high energy and is visited by millions of people each year. It is a powerful place to offer our final gratitude before heading home.
Located on a mountain overlooking the ocean, this temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha in a unique form. To balance His fiery energy, the deity is kept covered in thick layers of cooling sandalwood paste all year round. His actual form is only revealed to the public once a year during a special festival. It is a very peaceful sanctuary that shows a calmer, more mysterious side of the Lord.
At this hilltop temple, pilgrims offer sweet jaggery water to Lord Narasimha. As the water is poured into the mouth of the deity, a gurgling sound can be heard, and the Lord audibly drinks half of whatever is offered. This site is famous for providing a direct, physical experience of Narasimha’s presence.
While Srisailam is a major religious center, our focus here is on the deep spiritual history of the region. We will take a boat ride across the river to reach the Akka Mahadevi Caves. These natural rock formations have been used by saints for thousands of years as a place for intense meditation. It is a powerful location to experience the silence and internal focus of the path.
Nearby lies Kadali Vanam, a mystical forest traditionally believed to be a gateway to subtler realms, where saints are said to remain absorbed in deep meditation even today.
